Did You Know?: Women's Basketball goes 30-1, reaches NCAA Tournament Elite 8 in 2016-17

The Ohio Northern Women's Basketball team had a historic season in 2016-17, going 30-1 and reaching the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division III Tournament under head coach Michele Durand.
The No. 5-ranked Polar Bears also won the OAC Regular Season and Tournament titles.
ONU won the OAC Regular Season title with a perfect 18-0 record and defeated Marietta and Wilmington to win the OAC Tournament crown.
Ohio Northern then hosted four NCAA Tournament games, defeating Lakeland (Wis.) 68-36 and No. 15-ranked Trine (Ind.) 55-48 in the First and Second Rounds March 3-4.
Northern then hosted the NCAA Regionals and topped No. 20 SUNY-Geneseo 72-55 before falling to No. 7 Christopher Newport (Va.) 76-66 in the Elite 8.
Senior Britt Lauck was named First Team All-America and the OAC Player of the Year and junior Amy Bullimore was named Honorable Mention All-America and First team All-OAC.
