Women's Tennis falls to Otterbein 5-1 in finals of OAC Tournament

MASON — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to Otterbein in the finals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Lindner Tennis Center.
The second-seeded Polar Bears end their season at 19-7 overall.
The top-seeded Cardinals are 18-4 and win the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships.
ONU was making its fourth finals appearance in the past five tournaments and posted its 12th consecutive winning season.
Sixth-year senior Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) and junior Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Concord) won 8-5 at No. 3 doubles as the Polar Bears trailed 2-1 heading into singles play.
Otterbein then won Nos. 1, 2 and 3 singles to clinch the match.
Senior Jeorgia Templin (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) was winning her match at No. 6 singles 6-2, 5-4 when the match was stopped.
