This Weekend's Tournament: The Polar Bears will be the No. 2 seed in this weekend's OAC Tournament semifinals and finals … ONU will face No. 3 seed John Carroll in one semifinal match with #1 seed Otterbein and #4 seed Baldwin Wallace squaring off in the other semifinal ... The women's semifinals are slated for 1 pm on Friday at the Lindner Tennis Center with the finals beginning on Saturday at 10 am ... Should Friday's matches need to be moved indoors due to rain, the ONU-JCU match will begin at 1 pm at the Queen City Racquet Club in Cincinnati and the OU-BWU match starting at Noon at the South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg ... Saturday's indoor backup is the South Regency Tennis Center with a 2:30 pm start time …ONU is looking for its seventh OAC Tournament title in program history and its first since 2015 ... 2022 marks the 11th consecutive tournament in which ONU has reached the semifinals ... ONU finished second in the OAC regular season standings after a 6-3 win at John Carroll on April 30 ... Sixth-year senior Katie Curry won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles to post her 90th career singles victory, tying the school record set by Mackenzie Wills a year ago ... Curry is now 90-21 in singles ... She also ranks third all-time with 165 overall wins and is seventh with 75 doubles wins … Freshman Katie O'Connell is a team-best 22-4 in singles play, while junior Regan Landis is 21-4, and freshman Miranda Wills is 19-7 … Senior Jeorgia Templin (18-5) leads ONU in doubles wins, followed by Landis (16-6) and Wills (15-11) … John Carroll is the 5-time defending OAC Tournament champion and enters Friday's match off a 5-0 victory over sixth-seeded Muskingum in the quarterfinals on Tuesday ... The Muskies only brought four players to the match, so when JCU swept the doubles courts, the forfeits at Nos. 5 and 6 singles gave the Blue Streaks the match at 5-0 … Megan Reese (11-4) and Caroline Chandler (10-6) lead JCU in singles wins ... Reese is a team-best 11-6 in doubles and is 22-10 overall on the season.
