GRANVILLE — Junior Holden Cubberley (Celina) finished third in the 3-meter diving competiton of the NCAA Division I Region 1 Diving Championships on Friday afternoon.

Meet Highlights

  • Cubberley finished his 11 dives with 430.50 points, including a 51.80 score on his 11th and final dive.
  • He was in a tight battle for third place heading into the final dive with seven men within 16 points of Cubberley.
  • His big final dive was just enough to hold off Blake Wallen of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, who finished with a 428.95 after a 55.50 score on his final dive.
