Sophomore Nathan Clark leads Men's Swimming and Diving on second day of Wabash (Ind.) Invitational

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Sophomore Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) had a second place finish in the 100 breast to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team on the second day of the Wabash (Ind.) Gail Moll Pebworth Invitational on Saturday.

Meet Highlights
- Clark was second in the 100 breast in :57.14.
- Junior Holden Cubberley (Celina) finished fifth in the 1-meter diving with 451.00 points.
- Sophomore Selby Wilt (Findlay) and sophomore Simon Bopple (Cleveland/Shaker Heights) each had top-10 finishes in the 100 back.
- Wilt was sixth in :52.42 and Bopple was ninth in :53.19.
- Sophomore Long Huynh (Billings, Mt./West) was 11th in the 400-yard I.M. in 4:17.17.
- In the 200 free, junior Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) was 11th in 1:43.91. Freshman Nathan Herbert (Medina/Highland) was 18th in the event in 1:49.88.
- Wilt was also 21st in the 100 fly in :53.53.
- The 200 medley relay team of Spyker, sophomore Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder), sophomore Selby Wilt (Findlay) and sophomore Isaac Reddy (Maryland Heights, Mo./Pattonville) was third in 1:34.52.
- The 800 free relay team of sophomore Long Huynh (Billings, Mt./West), freshman Brandon Parkins (DuPont, Wash./Steilacoom), junior Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) and senior Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee) were 13th in 7:20.19.

- The meet consists of 20 events, including 13 individual races, five relays and 2 diving events.
- The meet is the sixth of 11 regular season contests and is the final event of the fall schedule for Ohio Northern.
- Austin Veltman is now 27-14 in his sixth season as head coach of the Polar Bears.

- The Polar Bears will compete in the final seven events on Sunday. The seven swimming events begin with prelims at 10 am with the finals at 5:30 pm. The Diving competition will be held on campus at Wabash at 1 pm.
