Men's Swimming and Diving opens OAC schedule with 165-93 win at Wilmington

WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team opened its Ohio Athletic Conference schedule on Friday evening with a 165-93 win at Wilmington.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (3-0 overall, 1-0 OAC), Wilmington (0-2 overall, 0-2 OAC)

Meet Highlights
- Sophomore Tyler Edmonds (Youngsville, La./Southside) led ONU with three first-place finishes. He won the 100 fly in 1:03.67 and was part of the top-finishing teams in the 200 medley relay in 1:53.42 and the 200 free relay in 1:40.40.
- Junior Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) posted two first-place finishes and one second-place finish. He won the 100 free in :55.08 and was part of the 200 free relay team. He was second to Edmonds in the 100 fly in 1:06.16.
- Sophomore Selby Wilt (Findlay) won two events, placing first in the 50 back in :28.55 as well as being part of the 200 medley relay team.
- Senior Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee), sophomore Aiden Magoolaghan (Hinckley/Highland) and freshmen Nathan Herbert (Medina/Highland) and Joshua Ray (Howell, Mich./Hartland) each posted one first-place and one second-place finish.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 14 events, including 12 individual races and two relays. There were no diving events.
- The Polar Bears posted first-place finishes in eight of the 14 events.
- The meet was the second of 11 regular season contests for Ohio Northern.
- Austin Veltman is now 26-13 in his sixth season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
