Ohio Northern Men’s, Women’s Swimming & Diving selected as CSCAA Scholar All-America teams

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been selected as Scholar All-America teams for the fall 2022 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
The CSCAA selected 803 teams from 479 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the fall 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their fall 2022 team grade point averages and represent 19,426 student-athletes.
For the fall 2022 semester, the ONU women had a 3.24 GPA, and the ONU men had a 3.06 GPA.
In NCAA Division III, Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) held the highest team GPA (3.87) among 184 women's teams, and MIT (Mass.) held the highest team GPA (3.82) among 141 men's teams.
The Polar Bear men closed their 2022-23 regular season with a 7-2 dual meet record, while the women's team was 4-5 under fifth-year head coach Austin Veltman.
ONU returns to action Feb. 15-18 for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
