Wagner, Dahlin post 11 kills each as Volleyball sweeps Wilmington 25-17, 25-14, 25-11

WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern volleyball team went on the road and posted a 25-17, 25-14, 25-11 sweep at Wilmington in an Ohio Athletic Conference contest Wednesday evening at Raizk Arena.

- Juniors Erin Wagner (Massillon/Perry) and Sonia Dahlin (Minnetonka, Minn.) had 11 kills and 3 blocks each.
- Dahlin hit .600 with her 11 kills coming on only 15 attacks.
- Senior Ava Ehlinger (New Carlisle/Tecumseh) had her second consecutive double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs to go with five blocks.
- Junior Lauren James (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) had eight kills and two blocks.
- Junior Rachel Jennings (Novi, Mich.) and sophomore Elizabeth Barbara (Foothill Ranch, Calif./Trabuco Hill) each had a team-high 9 digs.
- Senior Grace Conrad (Somerset/Sheridan) had a team-best 28 assists.
- In the opening set, ONU used a 12-1 run to rally from a 13-9 deficit to a 21-15 advantage.
- The Polar Bears built used a 7-2 run to turn a tight 10-9 lead into a 17-11 advantage in Set 2. ONU ended the set on a 5-0 run to win 25-14.
- Ohio Northern rolled in Set 3, going on runs of 8-0 and 5-1 to lead 15-6 en route to a 25-11 victory.
- The Polar Bears hit .455 with 47 kills, while the Quakers hit .094 with 29 kills.

- Jennings has 1,450 career digs, and is now 15 away from joining ONU's all-time top 10 in that category.
- Conrad has 1,677 career assists. She is just 105 assists away from joining ONU's top-10 list in the category.
- Wagner ranks seventh all-time in ONU's top-10 list for hitting percentage, hitting .299 in 67 career matches.
