Women's Outdoor Track and Field wins 9-team Manchester (Ind.) Invitational

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — Junior Olyvia Ashbrook (Johnstown/Northridge) swept hurdles events to lead the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team at the Manchester (Ind.) Invitational on Saturday.

- Ashbrook won the 100 in :15.44 and the 400 hurdles in 1:06.88.
- Freshman Paige Simpson (Merrillville, Ind.) won the 100 dash in :12.51.
- Junior Abby Matthews (Lithopolis/Bloom Carroll) won the 800 in 2:21.13, with senior Olesya Mertz (Johnstown) in second in 2:26.40.
- Sophomore Lauryn Wolters (Anna) won the triple jump with a leap of 35 meters, with freshman Ashley Baker (Derry, Pa./Derry Area) in second at 10.31 meters.
- Sophomore Claire Schweller (Paulding) won the pole vault by clearing a career-best 3.81 meters.
- Junior Jaclyn Boardman (Franklin, Ind.) was second in the pole vault at 3.20 meters.
- Junior Izzy Burman (Benton Ridge/Liberty Benton) won the hammer with a toss of 47.73 meters (156-7).

- Simpson's :12.51 in the 100 moves her into fifth place all-time in ONU history in the event.
- Matthews is now 10th all-time at ONU in the outdoor 800.
- Schweller is now fourth all-time at ONU in the pole vault.
- Burman moved up one spot to fourth on ONU's all-time hammer throw list.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is now 575-173 at Ohio Northern with a winning percentage of .769.
