Women's Tennis drops 8-1 decision to Otterbein in contest of league leaders

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Otterbein in a battle of the final two undefeated league teams on a warm, sunny and breezy Tuesday afternoon at West Campus Courts.
The Polar Bears saw their 9-match winning streak snapped and fall to 12-4 overall and 3-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals improve to 11-5, 5-0.
Otterbein began the match by winning the three doubles courts to take a 3-0 lead.
Freshman Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles to pick up the host's victory.
Sophomore Katie O'Connell (Novi, Mich./Saint Catherine) won her first set 6-2 at No. 5 singles before falling 6-0 in the second set and 10-6 in the third set tiebreaker.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday with a 1 pm contest at home against Capital on Senior Day.
