Women’s Tennis wins second straight match in Florida, 7-0 over Bentley (Mass.)

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team earned its second straight victory on its spring break trip Tuesday, defeating NCAA Division II Bentley (Mass.) 7-0 at the USTA Courts.
The Polar Bears improve to 5-3 overall while dropping the Falcons to 3-8.
ONU won two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Freshman Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn) and sophomore Miranda Wills (Ada) won 6-0 at No. 2 doubles, and sophomores Cassie Stuber (Lima/Central Catholic) and Julianne Sheldon (Ashtabula/Saint John) won 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.
The Polar Bears proceeded to sweep all six singles courts.
Freshman Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) won 5-7, 6-4, 10-5 at No. 1 singles, Hurst won 7-6(7-4), 6-2 at No. 2, freshman Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, senior Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Concord) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, junior Olivia Kesner (Lima/Central Catholic) won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, and sophomore Katie O'Connell (Novi, Mich./Saint Catherine) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday against Mary Hardin-Baylor (Tex.) at 6 p.m. for the third of five matches on their spring break trip.
