ONU celebrated Senior Day by defeating Mount Union 6-3 on Saturday ... The Polar Bears honored senior Ashley Ochsenhirt prior to the match ... In her three-year career at Ohio Northern, she has compiled a 106-40 overall record, two All-OAC First-Team honors and six OAC Women's Tennis Player of the Weeks accolades ... Ochsenhirt, junior Mackenzie Wills, and freshman Olivia Schrager each won two matches to lead Ohio Northern ... Thus far this season, Wills leads the team with a 15-2 singles record, a 16-3 doubles mark and a 31-5 overall record ... Ochsenhirt also owns a 15-3 doubles record and is 26-9 overall ... Junior Katie Curry is second on the team in singles play at 13-6, and Schrager is third at 12-8 ... Wills (114-38 overall) and Ochsenhirt (106-40) have each become members of ONU's 100-Win Club this season ... The Student Princes are coming off a 9-0 victory over Ursuline on March 24 ... HU is led in singles play by junior Jillian Goulet and sophomore Esme Salazar with two wins each ... Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 18th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 358-95 (.790) record, including a 135-14 (.906) mark against conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles.
