Women's Swimming and Diving posts 4 first-place finishes in 203-91 loss against John Carroll

Ada — Fifth-year senior Shelby Starkey (Bellefontaine) and junior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) led the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team with 2 first-place finishes each in a 203-91 loss agaisnt Ohio Athletic Conference foe John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.

Meet Highlights
- Starkey swept the backstroke races, winning the 100 in 1:02.99 and the 200 in 2:16.61.
- Brown won the 100 breast and 200 IM in 1:12.25 and 2:18.58, respectively. She took second in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.93.
- Sophomore Meghan Mattison (Easton, Pa.) placed third in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.74 and the 200 butterfly in 2:26.37.
- Freshman Ashleigh Nelson (Byron Center, Mich.) took third in the 50 free in 26.76.
- Senior Katie Bend (Carmel, Ind.) placed second in the 1000 free in 11:56.95 and third in the 500 free in 5:53.78.
- Junior Hannah Eversole (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) placed third in the 200 free and 200 back in 2:10.99 and 2:20.00, respectively.
- Freshman Melina Roberts (Westlake) took second in the 200 butterfly in 2:22.32.
- The 200 medlay relay of Starkey, Brown, Mattison, and Nelson placed second in 1:55.05.
- The 400 free relay of Starkey, Mattison, Eversole, and junior Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East) placed second in 3:56.12.

- The meet consisted of 16 events, including 12 individual races, two diving events and two relays.
