Women's Soccer falls 2-1 at John Carroll in OAC Tournament championship game

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — The third-seeded Ohio Northern women's soccer team scored early in Saturday night's Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament championship game at John Carroll, but the top-seeded Blue Streaks answered late for a 2-1 victory.

• Junior Alexa Clampitt (Sterling Heights, Mich./Utica Academy for International Studies) gave the Polar Bears an early 1-0 lead, netting a goal in the 25th minute.
• ONU out-shot JCU 11-2 in the opening half and took that 1-0 lead into halftime.
• Northern continued to hold that one-goal edge late into the game before JCU's Emma West netted the equalizer in the 74th minute.
• The Blue Streaks' Madyson Rosado scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with just 3:08 remaining.
• Freshman Morgan Moeller (Harrison/Roger Bacon) played all 90 minutes in goal for ONU and recorded three saves.
