CRESTVIEW HILLS (Ky.) -- The Ohio Northern women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest to Thomas More (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon at The Bank of Kentucky Field.
The Polar Bears drop to 4-3-1 on the season, while the Saints move to 5-1-1.
The teams battled through a scoreless first half, with Thomas More taking seven shots and Northern taking one.
The Saints broke through in the second half, taking a 1-0 lead at the 72:40 mark on a goal by Taylor Robinson.
Thomas More added a unassisted goal 13 minutes later to put the match away.
Senior Sami Atkinson led the Polar Bears with three shots, while senior Abbie Schauble and junior Kristina Klusek each fired two.
Sophomore Emily Brodict (3-2-1) made a career best seven saves in goal for the Polar Bears.
Megan Barton made three saves for Thomas More and moves to 4-0-0 on the season.
The Saints outshot ONU by a 14-8 margin and also took 10 corner kicks, compared to six for the Polar Bears.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Tuesday, when it travels to play Case Western Reserve at 7:30 pm.
