Women's Golf moves up two spots to ninth on second day of Jekyll Island Collegiate

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. — The Ohio Northern women's golf team moved up two spots into ninth place in the second round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate hosted by Oglethorpe (Ga.) University on Saturday.
The Basics
- The Polar Bears carded a 23-over par 311 on the second day after a 328 in the first round of the 54-hole tournament.
- Northern now stands ninth of 18 teams with a 63-over par 639.
- #10 Wellesley (Mass.) leads the team standings with a 610, #4 Williams (Mass.) is second with a 611, #7 Redlands (Calif.) and #12 Amherst (Mass.) are tied for third with 617, Southwestern (Tex.) is fifth with a 632 and #25 Sewanee (Tenn.) is sixth with a 634.

- Sophomore Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) is tied for 45th with an 83-79—162.
