Women's Golf in second place of eight teams after first day of Music City Shootout

JOELTON, Tenn. — The Ohio Northern women's golf team is second of eight teams after the first round of the 36-hole Music City Shootout on Saturday at Nashville National Golf Links
The Polar Bears (42-3 overall) opened their spring season with a 337.
Junior Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) is tied for fourth out of 56 golfers on the 5652-yard, par-71 course with a 10-over par 81.
Sophomores Amelia Burger (Centerville) and Rhianna Firmstone (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) are tied for 10th with 85s, senior Isabella Orofino (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) is tied for 13th with an 86 and freshman Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) is tied for 15th with an 88.
Otterbein leads the team standings with a 314, Mount Saint Joseph is third with a 296 and Saint Mary's of the Woods (Ind.) is third with a 301.
Becky William and Emma McGreal of Otterbein lead the individual competition with 77s.
The second and final round will be held on Sunday. The tournament is being hosted by Rose-Hulman (Ind.)
