LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Freshman Chloee Glenn (Glandorf/Ottawa-Glandorf) scored a career-high 15 points and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds as the Ohio Northern women's basketball team opened the D3hoops.com Classic with a 72-65 victory over No. 10-ranked Trinity (Tex.) on Thursday afternoon at the South Point Arena.

The Game
- The Polar Bears also got 13 points from junior Layla Dials (Willard).
- Glenn scored 11 of her points in the first half as the Polar Bears built a 34-28 halftime lead.
- Northern closed the third quarter on a 7-0 run over the final two minutes to grab a 54-42 lead.
- A 7-1 run midway through the fourth period gave ONU its largest lead of the afternoon at 63-49 with 5:40 to play.
- The lead would remain in double figures until the Tigers made back-to-back three-pointers in the final 44 seconds after ONU had emptied its bench.
- Fifth-year senior All-American Brynn Serbin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) had seven points, seven rebounds and six assists for ONU.
- Trinity was led by Jamie Ruede with 16 points and Josie Napoli with 15 points.
- Northern won the game despite committing 27 turnovers against the Tigers' intense full-court pressure defense.
- The Polar Bears offset the turnovers with a plus-16 rebound rebounding margin and by making 51.0 percent of its shots, which were often open looks after beating the pressure.
- Ohio Northern made 26-of-51 field goals for 51.0% and was 7-of-18 from beyond the arc for 38.9%, while Trinity was 21-of-57 from the floor for 36.8% and made 7-of-21 3-pointers for 33.3%.
- ONU made 13-of-17 free throws for 76.5%, and TU was 16-of-20 from the line for 80.0%.
- The Polar Bears out-rebounded the Tigers by a 39-23 margin.

Notables
- The victory was the second consecutive win by Northern over a nationally-ranked team, as the Polar Bears defeated then-No. 22 Marietta 48-41 on Dec. 16.
- Thursday's game marks Ohio Northern's third appearance in the 13-year history of the D3hoops.com Classic.
- The Polar Bears are now 4-1 all-time in the Classic.
- In 2013, ONU defeated No. 8-Wisconsin-Whitewater 68-67 and Baruch (N.Y.) 62-48.
- At the 2018 Classic, Northern defeated Carthage (Wis.) 65-57 before falling to Willamette (Ore.) 43-41.
- This was the first-ever meeting in women's basketball between Ohio Northern and Trinity.
- Serbin is ONU's all-time leader in career steals with 243 and assists with 326.
- Serbin ranks 15th on ONU's all-time career scoring list with 1,033 points. She ranks fifth all-time with 149 made 3-pointers in her career, is 13th all-time in made free throws with 188 and is 16th all-time in rebounds with 497.
- Serbin is 11 made field goals away from breaking into the top 20 of the program's all-time list in that category.
- She is also just three rebounds shy of becoming just the second ONU women's basketball player to score 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds and dish out 300 assists.
- Fourth-year head coach Mark Huelsman is now 55-24 at Ohio Northern.
