Myers, Gomez win events - 4x100 ties school record to lead Men's Outdoor Track and Field at Ashland Alumni Open

ASHLAND — Senior Trey Myers (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) and sophomore Evan Gomez (Farmington, N.M.) each won events and the 4x100 team tied the school record to lead the Ohio Northern outdoor track and field team at the non-scoring Ashland Open on Saturday.

- He was second in hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 54.32 meters and was fifth in the invite section of the shot put with a heave of 17.28 meters.
- Freshman J.D. Dillman (Bethel) was second in the triple jump with a wind-aided leap of 13.11 meters.
- Sophomore Ethan Kemp (Mount Gilead) was second in the 5,000 in 16:17.51.
- Sophomore Hunter Mowery (Sidney/Hardin Houston) was fifth in the 5000 in 16:30.98.
- Freshman Grant Butler (Marion/River Valley) was fifth in the high jump by clearing a personal best 1.92 meters.
- Northern's 4x400 relay team was second in 3:17.92.
- freshman Charles Miller (New Lebanon/Dixie) was seventh in the 110 hurdles in a personal best :15.40.
