Men's Indoor Track and Field finishes third of 14 at Muskingum Meet #3

NEW CONCORD — The Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team finished third of 14 teams at the Muskingum Meet #3 on Saturday.

Meet Results
- The Polar Bears finished with 99 points.
- Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) won the meet with 153.5 points, NCAA Division II West Liberty (W.Va.) was second with 126 and DII Mount Vernon Nazarene was fourth with 88.5 points.
Top ONU Performers
- Senior Tommy Vetrovsky (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 15.94 meters.
- Junior Trey Masterson (Tiffin/Hopewell-Loudon) was second in the 5k in 15:12.87. Junior Trent Babcock (Painesville/Riverside) was fourth in the event in 15:58.00.
- The Polar Bears finished 2-3 in the 4x400 relay.
- Freshman Grant Conn (Medina/Buckeye Senior), sophomore Zach O'Neill (Holland/Maumee Valley Country Day), sophomore Solomon Lumb (Cincinnati/Sycamore) and sophomore Ben Zimmerer (Liberty Township/Lakota West) were second in 3:32.53.
- Junior J.T. Basco (Painesville/Harvey), junior Corey Rinehart (Galena/Olentangy Berlin), freshman Oliver Hendricks (Vandalia/Butler) and senior Trey Myers (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) were third in 3:38.56.
- Junior Tyrese Barker placed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.92m, and fifth in the 60 m hurdles in :08.71.
- Sophomore Jacob Clouse (Alvada New Riegel), junior Torrance Nichols, junior Bo Little (Washington Court House Miami Trace), junior Keefer McClure (Ottawa Hills) placed third in the distance medley relay in 10:58.45.
- Freshman C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) was fourth in the 60 in :07.04.
- Junior Ryan Massie (Beavercreek) was fourth in the 1-mile in 4:21.03.
- Junior Jordan Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela Saint Joseph) was fourth in the 200 in :22.81.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 19 events, 11 individual running events, six field events and two running relays.
- Northern used depth to post its third place finish, as the Polar Bears had 10 top-4 finishes in the meet.
