This Weekend's Preview: The Ohio Northern men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will host the outdoor Ohio Athletic Conference Championships for the first time since 2000 ... The meet will be held at Kerscher Stadium with throwing events taking place just southeast of the stadium ... Day one of the championships will begin on Friday, Apr. 27 at noon with the women's pole vault and javelin and the men's discus and long jump ... The second day of the meet will kick off at 10 a.m. as it opens with the women's hammer throw and high jump and the men's shot put and triple jump ... The Polar Bears enter the meet after posting a first place finish at the Polar Bear Invitational ... Seniors Alex Sibila, Luke Bogdanovich, and Brandon Emert and the 4x400-meter relay team of freshmen Donovin Moran, Herrio Joseph, Gabe Dauch and Jared Fox claimed top honors for Northern, posting first place finishes to lead ONU ... In the field events, Sibila and Bogdanovich led the way as Sibila took the title in the high jump, winning the event with a leap of 6' 6.00", while Bogdanovich won the javelin with a throw 155' 6" ... Emert posted a first place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, winning the event in :57.11, while teammate and freshman Jhett Slusser was third in the event in :59.65 ... Moran, Joseph, Dauch and Fox completed the 4x400-meter relay sweep for the men's and women's teams as they won the event in 3:28.50.
