Men’s Tennis falls 7-0 to Bentley (Mass.)

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team continued its spring break trip Tuesday morning with a 7-0 loss to NCAA Division II Bentley (Mass.) at the USTA Courts.
The Falcons improve to 3-2 overall while dropping the Polar Bears to 4-4.
Bentley swept the doubles courts by scores of 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 to lead 1-0 going into singles play.
Sophomore Tristan Munteanu (Draper, Utah/Corner Canyon) put up a fight at No. 1 singles, winning the opening set 7-6(7-1) before falling 6-7(3-7) in the second and 5-10 in the third.
Sophomore Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.), junior Kavya Desai (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and freshman Nico Rogel (Alicante, Spain/Hoosac) were also competitive in their singles matches.
Specht fell 1-6, 6-3, 3-6 at No. 2 singles, Desai fell 6-0, 1-6, 2-6 at No. 4, and Rogel dropped a 3-6, 6-3, 2-6 match at No. 6.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday against Franklin & Marshall (Pa.) at 6 p.m. for the third of five matches on their spring break trip.
