Five named Academic All-OAC in Men's Tennis for 2015

ADA — Five Ohio Northern student/athletes were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's tennis for 2015.
Seniors Sam Prewitt, Alex Altman and Andy Starr, juniors John Mostowy and Andy Starr and sophomore Alex Starr all received the honor.
Award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50.
Prewitt is a now a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and is a biology major from Pickerington.
He was also named Honorable Mention All-OAC this season.
Prewitt tied for team-high honors with a 12-5 doubles mark, was second on the team with a 7-9 singles record and was 19-14 overall.
In his four-year career, Prewitt was 22-19 in singles, was 52-22 in doubles and was 74-41 overall.
Mostowy is now a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and was named Second Team All-OAC this spring.
He led the Polar Bears with an 8-8 singles record, a 12-5 doubles mark and a 20-13 overall record.
He will enter his season season next year with a 45-16 singles record, a 49-16 doubles mark and an overall record of 94-32.
Andy Starr is a mechanical engineering major from Clayton alongside his brother, Alex.
In his first season on the ONU varsity this spring, he posted a 1-6 singles record, a 2-7 doubles record and went 3-13 overall.
Altman was also in his first year on the ONU squad and is a civil engineering major from Napoleon.
This season, he went 4-11 in singles, 5-11 in doubles and was 9-22 overall.
Alex Starr is in his second season as a Polar Bear and is a mechanical engineering major from Clayton alongside his brother, Andy.
He was 6-10 in singles play, was 6-11 in doubles and was 12-21 overall.
In his two varsity seasons, Alex is 19-17 in singles, 15-19 in doubles and is 34-36 overall.
The Polar Bears posted a 6-11 overall record and finished sixth in the OAC with a 3-5 league mark under seventh-year head coach Bob Rohan.
