Men's Swimming and diving drops tri meet at No. 4-ranked Kenyon with No. 17 Case Western Reserve

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team fell in a tri-meet at No. 4 Kenyon with No. 17 Case Western Reserve on Saturday at the Steen Aquatic Center.
The Polar Bears (4-3 overall) lost to Kenyon (4-0) 239-51 and to Case (3-3) 220-75. KC topped CWRU 226-73 to complete the tri-meet.
Freshman Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) led Ohio Northern with a second place finish in the 50 free in :21.83.
Senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) and freshman Holden Cubberley (Celina) each had third place finishes.
Adams was third in the 100 breast in :57.72 and Cubberly was third in the 3-meter diving with 253.45 points.
Adams also was eighth in the 100 fly in :52.63 and Cubberly was fourth in the 1-meter diving with 239.40 points.
Sophomore Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee) finished sixth behind Cubberly in the 1-meter diving with 218.20 points.
Junior Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) had three top-8 finishes. He was fifth in the 200 I.M. in 4:23.15, was seventh in the 500 free in 4:59.43 and was eighth in the 200 fly in 2:06.50.
Freshman Nathan Gibbs (Parker, Colo./Legend) was sixth in the 1,000 free in 10:40.36.
Senior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) was seventh in the 100 fly in :52.32.
Senior Mike Lewandowski (Shelby Township, Mich./Eisenhower) was eighth in the 50 free on :22.33.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season schedule on Saturday with an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet at Baldwin Wallace.
