Senior Cole Zaferakis named OAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for third time this season

ADA — Ohio Northern senior goalkeeper Cole Zaferakis (Liverpool, N.Y.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week of April 10-16.
This is Zaferakis' third OAC Player of the Week accolade of the season and sixth of his career.
The latest recognition comes after he allowed just two goals and tallied seven saves in a combined 76:17 of action in dominant wins over Wilmington and Muskingum.
Zaferakis played the first half of a 25-1 victory at Wilmington, shutting out the Quakers and making two saves.
In a 14-5 win over Muskingum, he allowed just two goals while making five saves in 46:17 to improve to 10-3 on the season.
The two victories improved his career record to 34-16. His 34 career victories are the most all-time at ONU, surpassing the 33 set by Alex Pizarro from 2016 to 2019.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday when they host Baldwin Wallace at 7:30 p.m.
