ADA — Senior Cameron Marous (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) scored a goal and added three assists to lead the Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team in a 10-7 Ohio Athletic Conference loss to Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 3-2 overall and are 2-1 in OAC action, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 5-0, 3-0.
Northern scored four consecutive goals to grab a 4-2 lead with 13:07 left in the first half.
Senior Pat Berthelsen-Leon (Bethpage, N.Y.) scored 2:27 into the second half to break a 5-5 halftime tie and give ONU a 6-5 advantage.
BW would score three straight goals and lead 8-6 entering the fourth period.
Marous made it 8-6 with a goal at the 603 mark, but BW answered with a goal just 18 seconds later to extend the lead back to two.
Baldwin Wallace iced the game with another goal with 3:16 left in the game.
Ohio Northern out-shot Baldwin Wallace 43-27, had a 29-26 advantage in ground balls and won 15-of-21 faceoffs.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at home against John Carroll.
