Men's Golf stands fourth of six in tight opening round of Bluffton Fall Classic

BLUFFTON — The Ohio Northern men's golf team is fourth of six teams after the first day of the Bluffton Fall Classic on Saturday at the Bluffton Golf Course.
The Basics

- The Polar Bears shot a 301 to finish 17 over par on the 6866-yard, par-72 course.
- Lourdes leads the team standings with a 289.
- Places 2-6 are separated by only 7 strokes.
- Muskingum is second with a 298, Bluffton is third with a 299 and Heidelberg and Tiffin are tied for fifth with 305s.
- Individually, Brandon Azzi of Tiffin and Collin Diebel of Muskingum are tied for first with 71s.
ONU Individuals
- Freshman Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant) leads the Polar Bears in the first round with a 74 to stand tied for 9th place out of 48 golfers.
- Junior David Walsh (Cincinnati/Moeller) and sophomore Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) are tied for 14th with 75s
- Junior Adam Trigg (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon) and sophomore Domenic Pilla (Highland Heights/St. Ignatius) are tied for 24th with 77s.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is now 346-334-15 in his 11th season at the helm.
