Men's Bowling finishes 13th of 18 at Ohio Bowling Conference Meet III

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team finished 16th of 18 teams at the Ohio Bowling Conference III tournament at Palace Lanes on Saturday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 13th of 18 teams with 6,598 pins in five rounds of regular games and 12 baker games during the day.
- Venue: Columbus Square Palace Lanes — Columbus, Ohio

The Tournament
- ONU defeated Kent State-Trumbull (6470), Cincinnati (6438), Tiffin (6396), Kent State (6136) and Miami (Ohio) (6046).
- Freshman Nolan Caban (Dayton/Centerville) led the team with an 899 series.
- Freshman Henry Zitzelberger (Chillicothe/Zane Trace) and freshman Jacob Braun (Sugarcreek/Garaway) each had an 845 series in their five games.
- The Polar Bears were 14th after the singles games with 4287 pins, which included a 900 in the final contest. Northern finished ninth in the 12 baker games with 2311 pins, including a team-high 245.
Notables
- This was the third of five Ohio Bowling Conference tournaments this season.
- First-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
