Men's Bowling places 16th of 18 teams at Ohio Bowling Conference 2 tournament

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team finished 16th of 18 teams at the Ohio Bowling Conference 2 tournament at Palace Lanes on Saturday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 16th of 18 teams with 6,213 pins in five rounds of regular games and 12 baker games during the day.
- Venue: Columbus Square Palace Lanes — Columbus, Ohio

The Tournament
- ONU defeated Kent State (6,144) and Baldwin Wallace (4,866).
- Freshman Jacob Braun (Sugarcreek/Caraway) led ONU by knocking down 888 pins in five games, an average of 177.6 pins per game. He had a high game of 201.
- Freshman Henry Zitzelberger (Chillicothe/Zane Trace) knocked down 841 pins in five games for an average of 168.2 per game. He had a high game of 182.
- Freshman Brock Miller (Hudson) knocked down 743 pins over four games for an average of 185.75 per game. He had the team's high game for the tournament with a 212.
- Junior Yemi Ajala (Findlay/Liberty Benton) knocked down 687 pins over four games for an average of 171.75 per game. He had a high game of 193.
- Freshman Lukas Dunbar (Orient/Teays Valley) had 668 pins in four games, an average of 167 per game. He had a high game of 206.
- Northwestern Ohio won the team title with 8,213 pins, Robert Morris (Pa.) was second with 7,725 pins and Ohio State was third with 7,690 pins.
- Matthew Richards of Northwestern Ohio won the individual title with 1,274 pins in five games, an average of 254.8 per game.

- This was the second of five OBC tournaments this season.
- First-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
