Evan Russ named OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Evan Russ (Westfield, Ind.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of Apr. 22-28.

The recognition comes after going 3-for-4 with a two-run home run to lead the Polar Bears past Defiance on Wednesday and going 5-for-9 with an RBI and a run in a doubleheader sweep at Mount Union on Saturday.

This is Russ's first time receiving the honor.

The Polar Bears (22-14 overall, 10-6 OAC) return to action on Tuesday in a doubleheader at Defiance (6-26 overall) at 2:30 p.m.
