Foley homers in Baseball's 5-2 loss to Thiel (Pa.)

FORT Myers (Fla.) -- Junior Brady Foley hit his first career home run to lead the Ohio Northern baseball team in a 5-2 loss to Thiel (Pa.) on Monday at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.
The Polar Bears drop to 1-2 on the season, while the Tomcats move to 1-1.
Foley finished the game 2-for-5.
Juniors Dan Belliveau and Jack LaMarca each collected two hits for the Polar Bears as well.
Thiel jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on two unearned runs.
The Tomcats tacked on three more runs in the fifth to expand their lead to 5-0.
ONU got one run back in the seventh on Foley's solo homer.
Sophomore Nick Guitar led off the ninth with a single and advanced to second on a fielders choice.
LaMarca would then single to short and Guitar came around to score on an error on the play, to cut the Thiel lead to 5-2.
Sophomore Zach Maier (0-1) went seven innings, giving up three hits and one earned run.
Parker Myers went 6.2 innings for the Tomcats and struck out four to record his first win of the season.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Tuesday, when it faces Illinois College at 10 am.
