FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Drew Robinson hit a 2-run home run and Cody Fisher and Brett Katana combined for a shutout as the Ohio Northern baseball team blanked Adrian (Mich.) 3-0 Sunday afternoon in the Tri-State Classic at Franklin High School.
Robinson then went 3 for 4 with another RBI as ONU (5-6) fell to Franklin (Ind.) 12-4 in the final game of the tournament.
The games were moved from Franklin College because of a water problem at the College's baseball facility.
Against Adrian, Robinson hit a 2-run home run, his third dinger of the season, to give ONU a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
He later singled home Erik Stegman in the bottom of the fifth to complete the scoring.
Fisher (1-0) struck out nine in six innings of work to earn the win and Katana struck out three and allowed only three hits in three innings of releif to pick up his first save of the year.
Northern scored four runs in the top of the third frame to take a 4-0 lead over Franklin.
Adam Yunker had a 2-run single and later scored on an error and Robinson had a 2-out, RBI double to give Northern the early lead.
But the Grizzlies (7-4) scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth, two more in the fifth and four more in the sixth to go ahead 11-4.
The Polar Bears are scheduled to open the home portion of their schedule on Thursday with a doubleheader against Cedarville at 1 pm at Wander Field.
