ONU Race Notes: The Ohio Northern Women's cross-country team will race in its third meet of the season Saturday … The Polar Bears travel to Elvin R. King Cross-Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio, to race in the All-Ohio Championships … The women are slated to run at 1:45 p.m. while the men will compete at 1 p.m. … The field includes every team from the state of Ohio from all divisions … Northern is coming off a second-place finish at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational two weekends ago … In that meet, sophomore Tessa Pitcovich paced the Polar Bears, taking fourth overall with a time of 23:29.4 … Junior Megan Wright placed fifth overall, clocking in at 23:34.7, and senior Cathleen Colvin crossed seventh, recording a time of 23:35.0 … Senior Madeleine Routhier and junior Chyanne Retcher rounded out ONU's top-five, registering times of 23:52.2 and 23:57.3, respectively … Northern placed fifth in a field of 17 at last year's All-Ohio Championships in Akron.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 11th season as head coach of the women's cross-country team … He has coached three women's cross-country teams to Ohio Athletic Conference titles … Maus is also the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Northern women's cross-country history.
