Senior All-American Chelsea Huppert named Academic All-District by CoSIDA for third consecutive season

ADA — Ohio Northern senior All-American Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) has been named Academic All-District VII by the College Sports Information Directors of America in volleyball for 2019.
This is the third consecutive season that Huppert, a pharmacy major, has received Academic All-District honors. She will now advance to the the Academic All-America ballot.
Earlier this week, Huppert was named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and All-Great Lakes Region.
She is now a 4-time All-OAC honoree and a 3-time All-Great Lakes Region award winner.
Huppert leads the team and is third in the OAC with a 1.03 bps average and is second in the league with a team-best .338 hitting percentage. She also leads the team with 331 kills.
She is 3rd all-time in ONU history with a career .338 hitting pct. and 124 career block solos, is 4th with 396 total blocks and is 6th with 1,356 kills
The No. 10-ranked Polar Bears will compete in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament against Aurora (Ill.) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday night in Grand Rapids, Mich.
