Volleyball ranked No. 12 in tenth weekly AVCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team moved to No. 12 in the tenth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears (23-5 overall, 8-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 988 points, 188 less than in the ninth weekly poll when ONU was ranked No. 10.
Ohio Northern was ranked No. 10 in weeks eight and nine and was No. 11 for three consecutive weeks in the sixth, seventh and eighth weekly polls.
Northern was ranked No. 12 in the fifth weekly poll, No. 15 in the fourth poll, No. 16 in the third poll, was No. 21 in the first and second polls and No. 23 in the preseason poll.
Emory (Ga.) moved into first place this week with 1,902 points and 52 first place votes. Chicago (Ill.) fell to second with 1,834 points and 18 first place votes and Calvin (Mich.) moved up to third with 1,760 points and one first place vote.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday when they host John Carroll at 7 pm in the quarterfinals of the OAC Tournament.
