Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will open its 2022 outdoor season on Saturday at the Knight Open hosted by Marian University in Indianapolis, Ind. … The Knight Open is a two-day meet with the javelin and steeplechase events being contested on Friday … On Saturday, the field events begin at 9 a.m., and the running events start at 12:30 p.m. … The Polar Bears finished 34-15 overall and fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference in the 2021 outdoor season … Northern finished 26-7 in the indoor portion of its 2022 season while placing third at the OAC Championships meet at Mount Union … Junior Anna Schatzle cleared a personal-best height of 3.72 meters in the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on March 5, ranking her fifth in program history in the event and qualifying her for the NCAA Division III Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C. … Sophomore Olivia Ogg won the OAC championship in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.47 meters … The Polar Bears finished with five other All-OAC honorees … Senior Tessa Pitcovich was All-Conference in the 5,000 meters and 3,000 meters … Senior Kayla Silva was All-OAC in the 60 meters … Freshman Chloe Gibson earned All-Conference honors in the triple jump … Freshman Toria Ingalls was All-OAC in the high jump.
