No. 6 Women's Indoor Track & Field set to compete in 2017 OAC Championships

This Weekend's Preview: The No. 6-ranked Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team is set to compete at the 2017 OAC Championships, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University ... The meet will feature all ten teams from across the Ohio Athletic Conference ... The Polar Bears have posted two top-3 finishes at the OAC Championships in the last two seasons, including a second place finish in 2016 ... The top eight competitors in each event will be scored ... Field events will begin on Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm, as men's and women's pole vault, shot put, long jump, 3,000-meter run and distance medley relay's will all be final after Friday ... The remaining events on Friday will be preliminaries for day two of the meet ... Saturday's schedule features the remaining field events beginning at 10 am and the remaining running events at 2 pm ... The Polar Bears enter the championships after competing at the Ohio State Buckeye Tune Up meet and the Mount Union Raider Tune Up meet this past weekend ... At the Buckeye Tune Up the team of seniors Meagan Ellinger, Michelle Mosler, junior Emily Richards and sophomore Taylor Fisher finished fourth overall and set a new school record in the 4x400-meter relay in a school record 3:58.15 ... At the MtU Tune Up freshmen Madeleine Routhier and Zoe Schilling finished second and third, respectively, in 5:34.61 and 5:35.82 to lead Northern.
