Dianna Johnson-Ward leads Women's Outdoor Track & Field team at the North Central (Ill.) Gregory Invitational

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Sophomore Dianna Johnson-Ward led the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team at the non-scoring North Central (Ill.) Gregory Invitational Thursday and Friday at the Buikema Track.
The Polar Bears (52-10 overall) had seven individuals place in the meet.
Johnson-Ward led ONU in the meet as she claimed a second place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 36'09.5".
In the 100-meter dash, senior Gabrielle Metzner placed third in 15.19 seconds.
Sophomore Rebecca Carman had a strong performance as she finished fourth in the long jump with a new personal record of 18'03.75".
Junior Sarah Ballmer and freshman Emily Richards garnered sixth place finishes in the meet.
Ballmer competed in the pole vault clearing a height of 11'08" and Richards the 400-meter finishing in 57.27 seconds.
In the 1,500-meter run, senior Catie Huber finished eleventh in 4:47.90 and junior Rebekah McCutchen finished twenty-second in 5:03.07.
The Polar Bears are next in action May 21-23 as they travel to Canton, N.Y. for the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
