Amy Elmer finishes 11th on 3-meter board at NCAA III Diving Regionals on Saturday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Ohio Northern senior Amy Elmer finished 11th in the 3-meter diving competition on the final day of the NCAA III Central Region Diving Championships on Saturday afternoon at Calvin's Venema Aquatic Center.
Elmer finished sixth on the 1-meter board on Friday and was selected as the first alternate to compete at the NCAA III Championships March 20-23 in Shenandoah, Tex.
Six divers in each of the four Regional Championships earn bids to the NCAA III Championships using a selection process found here.
Elmer was 11th with 392.30 points on Saturday.
Renee Jordan of Macalester (Minn.) won the event with 485.60 points, Samantha Klaasen of host Calvin (Mich.) was second with 482.60 and Christina Pekar of Lake Forest was third with 471.60 points.
Elmer was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Diver of the Year after sweeping the 1- and 3-meter events at the 2013 OAC Championships Feb. 14-16.
