WILMINGTON — Sophomore Chandler Clark (Lima/Bath) and junior Kylie Cabana (Dexter, Mich.) scored one goal each to lead the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at Wilmington on Wednesday night at Williams Stadium.
The Polar Bears (9-1-4 overall, 4-0-2 OAC) have now won three straight games as part of an eight-game unbeaten streak dating back to Sept. 21.
The Quakers fall to 7-8-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the OAC.
Both of Northern's goals came in the latter stages of the first half.
Clark recorded her third goal of the season on an assist from junior Alaina Casey (Beavercreek/Carroll) in the 41st minute.
Cabana increased the lead to 2-0 just 45 seconds later with an unassisted goal, giving her four goals on the season.
The Polar Bears attempted eight shots to Wilmington's five in the second half, but neither team was able to score as ONU and senior goalkeeper Becky Moss (Lebanon/Mount Notre Dame) secured their ninth shutout of the season.
Moss and WC goalkeeper Lauren Galloway each tallied four saves in the game.
ONU finished with a 12-7 edge in shots and 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday hosting OAC foe Muskingum at 1 p.m.
