Nienaber, Grierson named OAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern seniors Rose Nienaber (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) and Meagan Grierson (Dayton/Miamisburg) were named the OAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3.
Nienaber was named the Offensive Player of the Week and Grierson was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Nienaber scored a goal and had an assist in No. 17 Ohio Northern's 2-1 win at Otterbein that clinched the OAC Regular Season title on Wednesday. She then had a pair of goals as ONU completed its undefeated OAC slate in a 6-0 win at Mount union on Saturday.
Grierson had 12 saves last week and is 15-2-2 with 52 saves, nine shutouts and a 0.72 goals against average.
Grierson is the school's all-time leader in shutouts with 41 and has a 63-12-5 overall record.
She has been named OAC Goalkeeper of the Year all three years and is a three-time first-team All-OAC selection.
Grierson has been named the OAC Defensive Player of the Week twice times this season.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Thursday with a 7 pm home match in the OAC Tournament semifinals against an opponent yet to be determined.
