ADA — Ohio Northern senior Meagan Grierson (Dayton/Miamisburg) was named the OAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 14-20.
Grierson had four saves last week as the No. 23-ranked Polar Bears (11-2-2 overall, 5-0-0 OAC) defeated Wilmington 2-0 and John Carroll 2-1.
This season, Grierson is 11-2-2 with 32 saves and a 0.77 goals against average.
Grierson is the school's all-time leader in shutouts with 39 and has a 60-12-5 overall record.
She has been named OAC Goalkeeper of the Year all three years and is a three-time first-team All-OAC selection.
This marks the second time this season that an ONU women's soccer player has been honored as junior Jenna Fuller (Countryside, Ill./Lyons Township) was named the Offensive Player of the week on Oct. 7.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday with a 7 pm home match against Heidelberg at Kerscher Stadium.
