The Polar Bears open the season in Albion, Mich. and take on the Britons at 5 pm on Sept. 1, before traveling to Adrian, Mich. and taking on the Bulldogs at 1 pm ... Northern is coming off another successful season, where they posted a 15-4-0 record and claimed the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season crown ... The Polar Bears welcome back a deep roster that includes 18 letterwinners ... Seniors and 3-time letterwinners Ashley Grisnik, Maggie Goeller, Hannah Reich, Anna Niemeyer, Brianna Gruber, Hailey Martin, Mary Kate Munz and Abbey Oswald all return in 2017 ... Reich is a 3-time All-OAC honoree, while Niemeyer is a 2-time All-OAC honoree ... Sophomore and 2016 OAC Goalie of the Year Meagan Grierson returns in 2017 after leading the team and conference in goals against average (0.71), and goals against (13) ... Grierson also ranked second in the OAC with six shutouts and fifth with a .806 save percentage ... Sophomore Alyssa Manley returns in 2017 after ranking second on the team with six goals, while sophomore Haley Moses returns to the team after ranking first on the team in 2016 with seven assists ... The Britons return six seniors in 2017, including senior Jenna Urso who ranked third on the team with four assists a season ago ... Sophomore Emily Wolford returns after leading the team with seven assists in 2016, while sophomore Riley Burnette and junior Alex Radzville return after tying for second on the team with five goals ... The Bulldogs welcome back four seniors in 2017, including senior Mackenzie Wilcox, who led the team in 2016 with seven goals ... Senior Kirsten Chambers also returns after ranking third on the team with five goals in 2016 ... Sophomore Kimberly Lindberg returns to the team after ranking first on the team with three assists.
