Wrestling ranked No. 20 in first weekly NWCA Tournament Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team is ranked No. 20 nationally in the National Wrestling Coaches Association's first tournament poll for 2022-23.
The Polar Bears (5-0 overall, 1-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) are tied with Loras (Iowa) with 13.5 points.
RWartburg (Iowa) is ranked No. 1 with 73 points, Augsburg (Minn.) is second with 45.5 points and Wisconsin-LaCrosse is third with 39.5 points.
Ohio Northern was ranked No. 15 in the preseason poll.
Individually, sophomore All-American Jacob Reed (Lancaster) is ranked No. 2 at 141 pounds, senior Chase Sumner (Ada) is No. 10 at 149, and senior Jordan Hardrick (Dayton/Wayne) is ranked No. 14 at 165.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at the Olivet (Mich.) Duals. ONU will have four dual meets, including No. 11 Olivet.
