Saturday's Preview: The Ohio Northern wrestling team will wrap its regular season schedule on Saturday at the Mid-States Invitational, hosted by Wabash (Ind.) ... 11 NCAA III Division III teams are expected to compete in the 10-weight class, double-elimination individual tournament ... ONU is expected to rest a majority of its starters to prepare for the NCAA III Central Regional Championships Feb. 28-29 at Adrian, Mich. ... The Polar Bears clinched a fourth place finish in the 8-team OAC Regular Season standings with a 46-0 victory at Muskingum on Tuesday ... Sophomore Jordan Hardrick clinched the match for ONU with a first period pin in 1:08 at 165, giving the Polar Bears a 31-0 lead. ... Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 32nd season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 338-241-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .583, making him the all-time winningest coach in program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
