Wrestling to open 2019-20 campaign at Mount Union Invitational on November 9

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling program will open its 2019-20 campaign with a trip to the Mount Union Invitational on November 9 under 32nd-year head coach Ron Beaschler.
The excursion will mark the fourth consecutive campaign the Polar Bears have competed in the event to open their season, which included a solid fourth-place team effort in last year's competition.
Following a northwestern journey to the Adrian (Mich.) Duals on November 16, Northern will raise the curtain on its 2019-20 Ohio Athletic Conference schedule and a three-event home slate with a dual against Baldwin Wallace on November 19 at 7 p.m.
Ohio Northern will also host the 39th annual ONU Invitational on December 7 and a home dual against OAC foe Heidelberg on January 16 to conclude its home slate.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their OAC schedule with trips to Otterbein on December 3, the OAC Quad meet at Mount Union against the Purple Raiders, John Carroll, and Wilmington on January 25, and Muskingum on February 11.
In addition, ONU will square off against nonconference foes Manchester (Ind.) and Mount Saint Joseph in dual action on December 14 and January 7, respectively.
During the season, the Polar Bears are also scheduled to appear in the Olivet (Mich.) Duals, the Waynesburg (Pa.) Invitational , the Lycoming (Pa.) Duals, the Alma (Mich.) Open, the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational, the Baldwin Wallace Invitational, and the Mid-States Invitational.
The two-day NCAA Division III Central Regionals are scheduled for February 28 and 29 at Adrian. Qualifying individuals from the regional tournament will earn a berth to the NCAA Division III Championships on March 13 and 14 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Last season, Ohio Northern posted a 6-9 overall dual record with a 1-5 conference mark to finish sixth in the OAC.
