BEXLEY — Sophomore Ann McArn (Bay Village/Western Reserve Academy) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 16-3 loss at Capital on a cold and rainy Good Friday afternoon at Bernlohr Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 7-7 overall and are 3-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Crusaders improve to 10-4, 7-0.
CU scored the first seven goals of the game to lead 7-0 with 15:59 left in the first half.
McArn got ONU on the board with a goal at the 15:45 mark to make it 7-1.
She then won the ensuing draw control and fed junior Maddie Storr (Clarence, N.Y.) for a point-blank goal just 11 seconds later to make it 7-2.
McArn added the final goal of the game with 3:21 left in the game to wrap up the scoring.
Capital outshot Ohio Northern 38-9.
Junior Kelli Hill (Worthington) had 13 saves in goal for ONU.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday evening in a 7 pm contest at Otterbein.
