Women's Golf holds 26-shot lead after first round of Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic

BLUFFTON — The Ohio Northern women's golf team holds a 26-shot advantage after the first round of the Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic on Saturday at the Bluffton Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (29-1 overall) lead second-place Wooster 324-350 in the five-team tournament after 18 of the 36 holes.
Bluffton is third with a 357, Lourdes is fourth with a 367 and Manchester (Ind.) is fifth with a 459.
Sophomore Amelia Burger (Centerville) is tied for first place out of 33 golfers with a first-round 80 in chilly and windy course conditions.
Junior Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) and senior Isabella Orofino (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) are tied for third place with 81s.
Freshman Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) is in fifth place with an 82, and sophomore Rhianna Firmstone (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) is sixth with an 85.
The Polar Bears will wrap up the tournament with 18 more holes on Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m.
