Senior Luke Shellhaas leads Men’s Outdoor Track and Field at Indiana Tech Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Senior Luke Shellhaas (Greenville/Versailles) tied for third in the pole vault to lead the Ohio Northern men's track and field team on Monday at The Monday Meet hosted by Indiana Tech at Warrior Park.
Monday's meet was part of a split-squad schedule for the Polar Bears, as only select team members competed.
Shellhaas led the way, finishing in a tie for third in the pole vault with a height of 4.35 meters.
Northern had two other top-10 finishes on the day courtesy of freshman Jordan Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela Saint Joseph) and junior Hunter Kesler (Oakwood/Paulding).
Dean and Kesler placed seventh and ninth, respectively, in the 200 meters with times of :22.28 and :22.32.
ONU's 4x100 relay team placed eighth with a time of :42.53.
Sophomore Gabe Hensley (Lebanon) and freshman Landon Remmert (Marengo/Highland) added 15th-place finishes.
Hensley posted a distance of 6.35 meters in the long jump, and Remmert ran a time of :58.55 in the 400-meter hurdles.
The Polar Bears return to action with split-squad events at the two-day Bucknell (Pa.) Classic on Friday and Saturday and the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday.
