Buderer, Dean log runner-up finishes at All-Ohio Championships

WESTERVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's track and field team placed fourth with 58 points at the All-Ohio Championships Saturday on the campus of Otterbein University. Sophomores Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) and Nate Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela Saint Joseph) paced the Polar Bears with a number of runner-up finishes.
Dean finished runner-up in the 60-meter dash, registering a time of 6.99. He also finished second in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 22.27.
Buderer placed runner-up in the pole vault with a mark of 4.57 meters. Sophomore Luke Shellhaas (Greenville/Versailles) placed third, clearing 4.57 meters, while junior Donald Gaylord II (Ashtabula/Lakeside) took sixth with a mark of 4.37.
Senior Andrew Shelton (Williamsville, N.Y./South) placed fourth and junior Sam Krabacher (Hamilton/Badin) took fifth in the 800-meter run with times of 1:58.58 and 1:58.80, respectively.
Freshman Billy Driemeyer (House Springs, Mo./Lindbergh) took fourth in the 3000-meter run, clocking in at 8:51.82.
Junior Owen Lloyd (Colfax, Ind./Clinton Prairie) crossed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.52. He also placed seventh in the high jump, clearing 1.84 meters.
Jordan Green rounded out the top-eight placers, taking eighth in the 1-mile run, recording a time of 4:33.09.
Northern travels to the Wittenberg Invitational Saturday.
